Dr. Edwin Armstrong
I have an earned PhD. in Computer Science from the University of Wales and 14 years experience teaching Computer Science at the college level. I particularly enjoy doing research in the areas of robotics systems (I have designed and built several robotic systems), object-oriented design, data structures, and gaming.
As for my industrial experience, I have worked at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory for 17 years, serving as “System Integration and Test manager” for the Voyager Space flight project, running a Laser lab and writing antenna control programs at the Goldstone tracking station. Although, teaching and class development has been my primary focus. I am currently working on a paper “Spatial disorientation during simulations and game play” and I recently presented a paper in Vienna at the European Symposium on Robotic Control, "Virtual Sensors and real-time control".
