UMHB Opera

Die Fledermaus

The UMHB OPERA is designed to train, develop and prepare for a professional career in opera. The UMHB OPERA produces one fully staged opera per academic year. This annual production includes a professional orchestra, costumes, lighting, sets and props.

UMHB Musical Theatre (MT)

You're a Good Man Charlie Brown

The UMHB Musical Theatre is very rigorous. The annual production is mounted in the fall and requires a great deal of preparatory work for the student performer. This annual production includes a professional orchestra, costumes, lighting, sets and props. It is designed to give an opportunity to perform Musical Theatre to anyone on campus. If you would like to be considered for casting in a show you must first audition. The UMHB Musical Theatre produces one fully staged production per academic year.

UMHB Opera Cru

Billy Goat Gruff

OPERA CRU was founded in 2005 by the Director, George Hogan. It is an intense training program for the young opera singer and similar to an opera studio or a young artists program. OPERA CRU is an elite vocal ensemble which specializes in educational outreach through their annual children's opera. Over the last six years, OPERA CRU has performed for over 40,000 elementary students.
