Dr. Rebecca Peterson
Dr. Rebecca Peterson joined UMHB in Fall 2005 as an Associate Professor of History. She previously taught for eleven years at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa. She received her B.A. in History from Texas Lutheran College, and earned both her M.A. and Ph.D. in History from the University of North Texas. Dr. Peterson is the sponsor for the Eta Omicron chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the national honor society for history. She teaches World Civilizations and European history courses ranging from ancient Greece to the twentieth century. Her research interests focus on the Lutheran Reformation, particularly Philip Melanchthon and Johannes Brenz, and she regularly presents research at the Sixteenth Century Studies Conference.
