Bio

Laura Williams is an Instructor in Exercise and Sport Science at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, and has worked at the University since fall 2017. Prior to teaching at UMHB, Laura spent six years in fitness and recreation management before focusing her career on writing, social media, and online fitness entrepreneurship. She's a published author (Partner Workouts, DK Books, 2016) who continues to write for mainstream print and online magazines, including Men's Journal, Bodybuilding.com, Verywell, Thrillist, SheKnows, Backpacker, and Onnit. Laura holds an Exercise Physiologist certification from the American College of Sports Medicine. 

Laura has been married to her husband, Lance, a self-employed web developer, since July 5, 2003. They currently live in Georgetown with their three dogs. In her free time, Laura enjoys trail running, hiking, slacklining, jumping rope, and doing HIIT workouts.
