He is the son of a Southern Baptist Missionary and was raised in Argentina, South America until he was 17 years of age. Not unlike many professionals in his field, he participated in several sports competitively in his teenage years resulting in an interest and passion for fitness and health. His chosen academic pursuits were a reflection of his daily interests which led him to the profession he now thoroughly enjoys. He has been an avid triathlete now for almost twenty years and continues to pursue new fitness and academic goals yearly. He has been married to his beautiful wife, Miriam, now almost 17 years and has two fantastic children, Tori and Zachary.
