Resumé (CV):
Matt Lovett was raised in Louisiana where, as a kid, he engaged in a variety of sports. He got his bachelor’s degree in Education and taught elementary school for four years in Texas. While pursuing his PhD in Sport Administration in Albuquerque, he was introduced to and fell in love with triathlon, which he has competed in for several years. He joined the UMHB faculty in 2009. He has been married since 1997 to his lovely wife, Myra, who is an elementary teacher. She is currently pursuing her Masters in educational psychology at UMHB. They have an awesome son, Silas, who was born in 2005. He considers himself the most loyal Red Sox fan in Texas.
