The Bachelor of Christian Ministry (BCM) with a concentration in Pastoral Ministry offers the best preparation for a future in pastoral ministry. A variety of ministry classes are offered in our College of Christian Studies with specific courses relating to ministering in a church setting, providing pastoral ministry, preparing sermons, and the like. Each one of our Christian Ministry students is required to do a 3-semester hour supervised ministry practicum. This internship opportunity provides hands-on experience in a ministry setting.
The Pastoral Ministry Concentration requires 15 semester hours of Christian ministry courses from a selection of courses for Pastoral Ministry in addition to those ministry courses, Christian Studies Foundation courses, Biblical Studies electives, Christian Studies electives that are taken in the Christian Ministry program portion. Furthermore, our Christian Ministry students must complete one year of study in a biblical language of their choice, Hebrew or Greek.
