Dr. Brown began his career in Information Technology when he joined the US Air Force in 1991 as a 2nd Lieutenant. During his seven years in the Air Force, he advanced to Captain while serving in a variety of Information Systems positions, including some International travels to Korea and Germany. After his separation from the Air Force in 1998, Dr. Brown worked for several Information Technology companies, where he worked as a programmer, technical support specialist, sales application engineer, call center architect, network analyst, manager, and other activities. His "civilian" work also took him around the world to places such as Hong Kong and Australia. In 2002, he decided to go back to school full-time to attain a PhD in Information Technology Systems. Upon completion of the degree in 2006, he entered the world of Academia at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, where he not only teaches, but also cotinues to enhance his own education and knowledge.
