Dr. Last came to UMHB in 2004 and became chair of the BITS department in 2005. In June 2007, she was appointed Director of CELT. Dr. Last is a contributing author in the Shelly Cashman textbook series and has co-authored several textbooks on database management software. She also authors instructor resource materials on database concepts and database systems. Her current research interests include database management, service learning, and initiatives to attract students to Information Technology.
