Dr. Marilyn Byrd

Dr. Byrd joined the faculty at UMHB in August 2007. Her research interests include leadership development, intergroup relations in organizations, theory building research (leadership theories of social power), and organization learning and performance. Her philosophy of teaching is based upon her personal motto: To educate and inspire with love and compassion; to not only make a difference but BE a difference; to fulfill God's plan and purpose for my life. She is actively involved in the youth ministry at her church and is a passionate and skilled pianist.
